Lines [link] by ~warpiggg, for the Empress coloring contest. Wish me luck, by the way.

From left to right: Ezia, Vythica, and Daemon.

Took a little over eight hours to color (see the WIPs for a breakdown), over a few weeks.

It was a challenge, at least, considering my normal style of coloring is cel-shaded cartoony instead of realistic. And considering I didn't resize this at all! Normally my finished pieces are twice as big as this, after shrinking them. ^^; There are still a few parts that irk me (a bit of color discrepancy between my laptop and every other computer in existence, a few harsh lines, not to mention the fact I couldn't find my CD with all my textures on it..), but if I'm not thrilled with it, I'm at least content with it. For example, I love Ezia's hair, the snow on the trees, and the pointy rock formation to the right. And I'm pleased with working inside the color guidelines.. even if I accidentally made Daemon look slightly like Father Christmas.


Ezia, Vythica, and Daemon are the intellectual property of ~warpiggg. ~warpiggg also did the lines. I just gave them a bit of color. :)

Kyaa~! It's excellent! I love the way the background fades away. With the snowy scenery, it makes it look whimsical. Veeery cool, I can tell you've spent a lot of time on it!

LOL I'd seen the lineart for this before when I was checking out the contest, and then I saw it in my deviation messages and was like "ooh, I know this picture!" :XD:

I love your colouring/shading ^.^ The snow looks awesome
